Good thing I took a photo of these a while ago.
We WERE selling about 7 dozen eggs per week.
That is in addition to eating about 2 or 3 dozen a week.
Lush living, I know.
As, you can see, we have alot of chickens. However, Broody Hen hatched 9 little gorgeous hens (which, I fear, we have more roosters than the pendulum predicted). This evidentally has started a new trend.
We've now got broody hens EVERYWHERE!
At least count, about 6.
JEEPERS!
All laying boxes are filled with broody hens and it's currently a race to find an egg before the dog. I actually grabbed one out of her mouth (my dog's) the other day. I really shouldn't admit this, I know. But, there I was with an egg covered in dog slobber. I held it in in my hand and WAS WIPING THE SLOBBER OFF when a voice of reason intervened and said "GET A HOLD OF YOURSELF!"
Did I listen and give it back to the dog?
What would you do?
No, what would you REALLY do?
Chickens everywere lol. Sounds like an egg fiasco with the dog.
